Back home

A two hour wait on the runway and airborne only minutes before the airport was closed- a nail-biting start to our Jordan holiday.  And now the bags are more or less unpacked again, laundry more or less done and we are more or less back in what passes for domestic routine.  Wonderful things seen (we did the standard route of  Amman, Jerash Petra and Wadi Rum) and many happy memories – thought I would indulge in some pics which may speak for themselves and starting with the one that everyone recognises  –

Time to go and catch up on my blog reading to find out what everyone has been up to.

  3. Hi Barbara,
I see some fantastic quilting inspiration there, when can we expect the book of designs. Love that one of the silver plate, wouldn’t that just look awesome as a quilt. Glad you had a great time.

  4. Lovely – Petra is on my someday list. Along with way too many other things, but that’s neither here nor there….

Thanks for stopping by my blog – didn’t have your email address, so couldn’t reply privately, but wanted to say, if you’d like the pattern for the two red schoolhouses cross-stitch, you are welcome to it when I’ve finished it (which should be reasonably soon…)

  5. Glad to have you back and thank you so much for the wonderful pictures. What a bunch of inspiration for quilting patterns! I also like the silver plate a lot and want to use it somehow in a wholecloth.
